As a member of QRI’s Quantum Technologies team, Dr. Agustin Maqui is working on the development of proprietary waterflood management technologies that include reservoir surveillance, instantaneous reservoir forecasting, waterflood optimization and uncertainty analysis. In this role he has provided near real-time waterflood analysis and optimization support on some of the world’s largest reservoirs in the Middle East, Mexico, and the United States. Born and raised in Argentina’s most prolific oil province, Dr. Maqui came to Texas to do a BA and Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University. Dr. Maqui was previously a researcher for the Turbulence and Advanced Computations Laboratory at Texas A&M University, where he worked on massively parallel direct numerical simulations of turbulent flows.
Jennifer Duarte is a Petrophysical Software Consultant with Lloyd’s Register. She is part of Lloyd’s Register Americas Software team, where she supports all the client in Latin America and North America. She is responsible to respond to functional and technical elements in respects to Petrophysics , Geology , Log Acquisition and Software . Jennifer is a member of SPWLA, Society of Petrophysicist and Well log Analysis, as well as AAPG, American Association of Petroleum Geologists. Jennifer holds a Geology degree (BS) from Queens College -Queens, New York . In January 2016 Jennifer became a volunteer of IAPG Houston Young Professional Chapter.
