IAPG Houston Announces the 2010 Scholarship Awards

The Board of Directors of the IAPG Houston ("IAPGH") is delighted to announce the names of the first two selected recipients of the  IAPG Houston Scholarship Program.

This year's recipients are:

•      Gisela Porfiri,  Geophysics - University of Houston ,
•      Santiago Drexler,  Nanotechnology for Enhanced Oil Recovery - University of Oklahoma

The  IAPGH provides two scholarships per year to Argentine professionals planning to pursue or currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in the United States of America : in Petroleum Engineering, Geosciences (geology and geophysics), and Environmental Engineering related to the petroleum industry.

The scholarship amount for the selected recipient entering a graduate program is US$ 10,000 per year and a round trip airline ticket from Buenos Aires to the city of destination generously donated by Continental Airlines. The scholarship amount for the selected recipient currently enrolled in a program is US$ 5000 per year. In both cases the total amount of the scholarship will be designated for school tuition. Applicants must be Argentine citizens and have a minimum of one (1) year experience in the industry. .
