
Mr. Scott Stewart is a Member of the IAPG Houston Board and member of the Forum Program Committee. He is the Area Coordinator and leader of the IHS team handling Argentina. He is responsible for writing the IHS monthly GEPS (Global Exploration and Production Services) report for Argentina as well as Peru, Chile, Uruguay and the Islas Malvinas. This report provides detailed news and scouting information primarily focused on the upstream segment of the oil and gas industry to companies in the exploration and production business on a subscription basis. Scott was a guest speaker at one of our regular luncheons sharing his expertise on Argentina.
Mr. Stewart has been employed with IHS for over twelve years and has over twenty five years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He began his career with Gulf Oil in Houston in 1982, and then with Chevron until 1996. He worked primarily the Gulf coast region onshore where he gained his technical expertise in data management and computer systems. Mr Stewart also worked a few years with Chevron Marketing in Hawaii.
He graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville Tennessee with a BS degree in Geology in 1981. Mr. Stewart is married and has a seven year old daughter.
