Eva María Gomez
Eva María Gomez, Vice President of IAPG Houston is a Sr. Planning Engineer for the Worldwide Exploration Division of Occidental Oil and Gas (OXY) in Houston. She started her industry career at Nitec (Denver, CO) in the consulting business, as a part time employee while working towards her Masters Degree. After her graduation she joined Gaffney, Cline and Associates (Houston). For almost three years she traveled extensively to Latin America participating in a broad number of projects for Repsol YPF, Petrobras, Tecpetrol, Pluspetrol, Pemex, among others.
Eva Maria earned a B.Sc./M.Sc. in Mining Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain) and received a M.S. in Mineral Economics from Colorado School of Mines. In addition to her leadership role in the IAPG Houston, Eva Maria is also a member of the SPE since 2004.
